This was a recipe I recently discovered and wanted to share on this website because it is so good! It is extremely flavorful, easy to prepare, and will have your family and friends coming for seconds. There are three parts to this dish: the veggies, the garlic butter chicken, and the creamy honey garlic sauce. I made it a few weeks ago for some friends of mine and they absolutely adored the dish!
Time: About 8 hours Servings: 4
Here is what you’ll need to make it:
1 cup chicken broth ¼ cup honey 6 cloves garlic, minced ½ pound of baby carrots 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon butter 4 oz of garlic butter seasoning (roughly one scoop if you're buying in the shop or online) ½ teaspoon black pepper 3 tablespoons cornstarch 1 pound of red potatoes, halved 4 chicken breast, skinless, boneless 3 tablespoons of cold water 2 teaspoons of soy sauce 1 small yellow onion, chopped up A crock pot
Directions
Place the garlic butter seasoning in a sealed freezer bag along with the chicken breast and allow the chicken to soak in the flavor before you cook this meal. For best results do this the night before and leave the bag in your refrigerator. Spray a slow cooker with a non-stick cooking spray for an easy clean up when you are finished. Afterwards combine the chicken broth, salt, pepper, garlic, and honey in a small bowl and mix very well. Place the onions,
carrots, and potatoes in the slow cooker. Arrange the chicken on top of the veggies and pour the broth mixture you just made over the veggies and the chicken breast. Cover and cook on low for about five hours.
Remove the contents of the crock pot when they are done cooking. Drain the juices from the pot into a medium-sized bowl and then transfer the juices into a small sauce pan. In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch and the water and then whisk into the juices in the sauce pan. Over medium heat continue the whisk the mixture until it has thickened some. Serve the sauce as a dipper with your meal and enjoy!
